Our event brought Ukrainian diaspora and supporters of Ukraine together to celebrate Ukrainian Heritage, Culture, and Liberty, as well as Ukraine’s determination to be a democratic and sovereign European country. At the event, we also commemorated the one and a half year mark of the beginning of russia’s full-scale genocidal war against Ukraine.
WHEN and WHERE: August 26, 2023 (Saturday):
• 4:00 p.m.: Assembly in front of the White House (North side).
• 4:30 p.m.: Official program with speakers (including Ukrainian Ambassador Oksana Markarova and leaders of participating organizations).
• 5:30 p.m.: March from the White House to Taras Shevchenko Statue.
• 6:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.: Program at Taras Shevchenko Statue.
On July 20, 2023, the Ukrainian Military Unit A2641 received humanitarian help from US Ukrainian Activists (USUA): 2 helmets and 4 hand protectors for training of military K9.
On July the 4th, 2023, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) was honored to participate in the National Independence Parade in Washington, D.C. for the 2nd consecutive year.
On June 26, 2023, US Ukrainian Activists (USUA) shipped 50 C-A-Ts (Combat Application Tourniquets) to the Ukrainian Military Unit A1302 of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar.”
